About Dr. De Haas

Hi all!  My name is Dr. Rebecca De Haas, and I am a Senior Lecturer and Advisor in the English Department here at NC State.  I went to a blue school down the road for my undergraduate degree, so I won’t name the school here, but you are welcome to ask at your own risk!  Suffice it to say that I LOVE basketball season.

I earned both my Master’s and my PhD from the University of Georgia.  So I also LOVE football season as well!

I have been working in the department since 2007, and have taught all manner of courses, from English 101 to English 331.  I’ve also taught several of the English literature survey courses here at NC State.

I also have a broad background in the sciences (particularly Biology and Chemistry), so I know a lot about how different fields intersect.
